Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula until no longer pink. Drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and follow the packet instructions (usually adding water and simmering for about 5 minutes until thickened).
  2. Heat the corn tortillas on a dry skillet over medium heat for 30 seconds on each side until warm and slightly charred.
  3. Set up a buffet-style taco bar with the cooked meat, tortillas, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, salsa, and black beans.
  4. Serve guacamole in a bowl, surrounded by tortilla chips and fresh vegetables. If making queso dip, warm it until melted and serve with chips.
  5. Prepare agua fresca by blending fresh fruit with water and a little sugar to taste. Strain and serve chilled.
  6. Use colorful tableware and decorations for a festive atmosphere.
  7. Warm churros in the oven if necessary and serve with chocolate sauce for dipping.
